Seçil joined the Sahin Lab as Post Doctoral Research Fellow in May 2023, upon completion of her Pediatrics residency in Turkey. She's been interested in research since early childhood and has worked on both her own and joint projects since her high school years. She always had a passion to pursue a career including both the clinical work and good quality research together. During her residency, she developed an interest in child neurology. At the Sahin lab she is working on Tsc2 mice models with Dr. Mustafa Sahin. Besides research and being a pediatrician, she enjoys playing piano, swimming, scuba diving, reading, and watching ballet and figure skating. She is fascinated by classical music and her favorite composer is Tchaikovsky. Her favorite food is whole grain pasta with homemade tomato sauce and yogurt.
