Nishtha (she/her) joined the Sahin Lab in June 2022 as a Clinical Research Assistant II in the Neurobiology department. She works with Dr. Christopher Yuskaitis​ on multiple clinical studies involving infantile spasms and investigating DEPDC5​-related seizures in mouse models. Nishtha just completed her third year of medical school at Drexel University College of Medicine and is taking a research elective year with the lab to further her love for neurology. Besides studying the brain, Nishtha loves to paint, play the electric guitar, make excessively lengthy Spotify playlists, and surf in the summers. ​
